5 ways to travel in style and comfort
Part of what makes traveling fun is getting to flaunt your OOTDs and take selfies on the backdrop of amazing views. Yet at the same time, you don’t want that skintight LBD and stilettoes to stop you from enjoying your trip.
So how do you strike a balance and nail the art of traveling? We have a few tricks up our sleeves that will make your next vacay a stylish and comfy one.
1. The in-flight hair – high bun
Remember how your hair always sticks to the headrest just when you get comfortable? Or how you’ll always have that wild, disheveled mane after your flight? To keep your tresses in check, put it up in a messy high bun – the go-to, celebrity-verified hair tip. Finish off with a pair of sunglasses to complete the model off-duty look!
2. Pack light and versatile clothes
Pick clothes that are lightweight, fit for all occasions, and easy to mix and match. Dresses, tank tops and single-colour basics are great for traveling light while staying versatile. You can dress according to your mood without lugging four bags on a five-day trip. And of course, you’ll free up baggage space for more shopping!
3. Bring one dressy outfit
Throw in something fancy for good measure. Plans change often on a trip and you never know where you might go. That one dressy outfit might just open doors to an unexpected experience.
4. Wear comfortable shoes
Why would anyone not? We’ve always wondered. Oh, that’s right – comfortable shoes usually don’t look good. But if you want to trot down the bustling streets of Tokyo or climb the Spanish steps in Rome, you’ll want to wear shoes that are made for walking. And bring something that won’t go out of shape in your luggage if you don’t want to fish out a mushed up pair of shoes.
Still, don’t compromise on your style game. From our own travel experience, we’ve decided that style and comfort should go together in every step you take. That’s why we can’t help but think that we’ve created the best travel shoes.
5. Fewer skincare products but more hydration
It’s tempting to bring your entire beauty regime for your trip, we know. But if you want to save on the space and weight of your luggage, cut down on the number of skincare products to bring.
To decide which to leave out, choose only those for hydrating purposes. The most important thing for your skin is hydration, no matter the climate. If you’ve been using a lotion, switch to a cream type moisturizer for the trip to pump up on hydration. But as long as you have a moisturizer, an eye cream and sunscreen, you’re good to go.
Get the most out of your vacation
You may eventually forget parts of your trip, but photos will remain and you’ll remember how you felt during your vacation. How do you want to remember your wanderlust ventures? We hope you’d always bring back good stories and memories. Till then, stay stylish and comfy!
