A chat with Alina B.
Alina B. is our #firsttowear campaign winner! As the proud owner of multiple pairs of Anothersole, Alina tells us more about her thoughts.
Me: Hi Alina! Thanks for being with us today. Can you tell us more about yourself?
Alina: Well…my personal mantra is that “I’m born to shop, forced to work”! LOL. It’s lucky that I love my job as a comms specialist, or life would be miserable for me. I’m one of those “bag and shoes” girls: I believe that a great pair of shoes help tie your whole outfit together and can make or break your whole look, or mood.
Me: How did you find out about Anothersole?
Alina: I first saw Anothersole on Instagram when a friend of mine (@ladyxtel) posted about it. The review was good, and the shoes looked stylish, and I also really liked the brand premise of being a socially conscious company – the #buy1feed1 hashtag jumped out at me and after reading up about Anothersole, I decided to take a plunge and bought 2 pairs.
Me: What happened next?
Alina: I bought more! Truth is, Anothersole is super comfortable and easy to match with the clothes in my wardrobe. I usually deck myself out in Ferragamos and ballerina flats. But I have not touched my other shoes for a while now, as I have so many Anothersole shoes to try out with my different outfits! Anothersole is one of my favourite brands now, especially when the day involves lots of walking about.
Me: Thanks so much for the compliments! What advice would you have for our readers on how to style with Anothersole?
Alina: Have fun with your shoes and try them out with different styles of clothing to discover what works for you! Style is a very personal thing and you’ve got to feel comfortable and good in what you’re wearing in order to pull off a confident strut. In Anothersole, the battle is already half won as they are as light as air and as comfortable as ballet shoes – as a dancer, I can attest to this personally!
Me: Any final words for our readers?
Alina: Because im a shoe-gal, I’m going to quote Christian Louboutin here because he says it best: “Shoes transform your body language and attitude. They lift you physically and emotionally”. Life is too short to walk a mile in bad shoes. You only have a pair of soles, so you’ve got to take good care of them with great shoes!
